EXTRA LONG Log Rolls 2.5meters
Log Rolls are Ideal for:
- Edging paths
- Lawns
- Flowerbeds
Log Rolls are often used to separate the edges of areas of garden lawns, both practical and decorative, adding a rustic look to garden spaces and what’s more, they are quick and easy to install, requiring just a few basic tools for installation.
What is a Log Roll?
Log Rolls are a manageable length of single timbers that are half-round. The logs are joined at the back and rolled for ease of use and transportation. They are available in several lengths and heights, making them suitable for many garden landscaping applications.
Uses
Log Rolls are remarkably useful for creating curved borders or edges that define irregularly shapes in your garden areas. Log rolls are well suited for protecting plants and borders from lawnmowers and trimmers, and can also be used to keep composts on the soil instead of falling on your lawn or paths.
Materials
We manufacture our Log Rolls using either pressure-treated pine or Sustainably Grown Hardwood.
Installation
The first thing you need to do is dig out a small channel/trench. The depth of this channel depends on how much of the log you want to remain visible.
Now you have the channel, tap some wooden stakes into the area where the ends of each log roll will finish. So, if the roll is 1.8m long, knock in a wooden stake at the start of the channel and another 1.8m apart. Now the roll can be placed into the trench. At this juncture, I would recommend adding a couple more
At this juncture, I would recommend adding a couple more evenly spaced stakes for added strength.
Now you can backfill the soil and secure the log roll to the stakes by hammering some nails from the back of the stakes through the log roll or better still, drill some wood screws through the front into the stakes.
Paint your new log rolls to compliment the style of your garden using our recommended stains, impregnation fluid or paints.
